History
“Scientific Bulletin of Uzhhorod University. Series "Medicine” was founded by Uzhhorod State University of the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine in 1993. It was a hard time for the young Ukrainian state becoming, which affected health care institutions and higher medical education. The publication of numerous medical journals was discontinued, and other scientific journals were issued behind schedule. There were significant difficulties in publishing dissertations that did not contribute to the training of academic staff. The academic staff unanimously supported the decision of the university’s rector, Professor Slyvka V.Yu., to establish a scientific journal.
The approval of the Resolution of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine on enlisting “Scientific Bulletin of Uzhhorod University. Series "Medicine” to publications which are entitled to publish dissertation results (Bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, 1997, No. 4, p. 33) was a landmark event. In other words, the journal became professional. In 1999, in revising the list of professional publications, the HAC of Ukraine, affirmed its decision on the journal (Bulletin of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, 1999, No. 4, p. 55). The journal was re-registered in 2009 and 2014 – Resolution of the Presidium of the HAC of Ukraine No. 05/2 dated 27.05.2009; Annex to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1279 dated November 6, 2014. The above gave a new impetus to the scientific journal's development and quality improvement of articles and encouraged the editorial board to be more demanding and responsible.
In 2016, ISSN International Centre, Paris, entered the journal in the international register of periodicals and provided it with a numerical code of international identification: ISSN 2415-8127 (Print).
“Scientific Bulletin of Uzhhorod University. Series "Medicine” is currently included in the List of professional publications of Ukraine (the category “B”), specialties – 221 – Dentistry; 222 – Medicine, according to the Order of MES of Ukraine dated April 7, 2022, No. 320 (appendix No. 2).
