In today's world, when we are faced with the choice of student's health or knowledge, distance learning has come to the rescue, which has been introduced and used in all higher education institutions in Ukraine. The introduction of online education (distance learning) couldn't help the implementation of new methods of teaching young medical students. This has opened new opportunities for both teachers and students, using the tools of modern technology in distance learning. The aim of the study is the features of the methodological concepts of teaching pharmacology to medical students in distance learning. The use of distance learning of medical students has the following advantages: unlimited access to educational materials anywhere in the world, time mobility, extensive use of online resources; saving the life and health of all participants in the learning process. The use of multimedia technologies as a components online education is very important when teaching the subject of "pharmacology"through distance learning sessions, video lectures, as well as online consultations. However, there are a number of disadvantages in distance learning – different Internet speeds, distracting components, and the lack of emotion during conversations. Distance learning can bean alternative learning to infectious epidemics, wars, cataclysms when it is impossible to conduct in person training. The use of distance learning introduces young people to a modern style of education. Meanwhile the use of online technologies in the teaching of pharmacology also directs the development of student self-education. All of these factors are valuable for finding new skills throughout life. The use of distance education components (online lectures, online consultations) will be important in the future of teaching pharmacology and in full-time (offline) training of medical students.
