Abstract

Introduction. Quality medical care joins the external compliance with standard diagnoses and treatment of this other dis-ease. The most important evidence of the presence of existing defects in the provision of medical care is a forensic examina-tion [1]. In this class it is possible to determine the consequences of unprofessional actions of medical workers in the composition, even if it leads to fatal consequences [2]. The aim of the research. Conduct an analysis of commission forensic-medical examinations in cases of improper performance of professional duties by medical workers according to the department of commission examinations of the Transcarpathian Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination during 2015-2019. Material and methods of research. The archival material of the commission forensic medical examinations was analyzed on the introduction of improper performance of professional duties of medical workers, conducted in 2015-2019 in the Transcarpathian Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination. Research results and their discussion. During 2015-2019, the Transcarpathian Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination conducted 74 commission examinations for the introduction of improper performance of professional duties by medical workers, which have 20.5% of the total number (361) of commission examinations. In the actions of obstetric and gynecological defects in the provision of medical care revealed 62.5% of cases, pediatricians – 60%, surgeons – 50%, orthopedists- traumatologists – 71.4%, therapeutists – 80%, emergency physicians and anesthesiologists – on 40%, stomatologists – in 33.3% of cases. Examinations with the help of medical care at the same time doctors of several specialties shortcomings are found in 75% of cases; diagnostic errors were found in each of the forensic medical examinations performed on urologists and infectious disease doctors. No forensic examinations were performed during the commission of forensic medical examinations of real neurosurgeons (5), cardiologists (3), ophthalmologists (1), general practitioners (1) and phthisiologists (1). Among the 74 commission forensic medical examinations “medical cases” conducted during 2015-2019, defects in the provision of medical care were identified in 39 cases (with 52.7%), of which in 30 cases (40.5%) identified diagnostic errors, in 8 (10.8%) – treatment and in one case (1.4%) – organizational errors and deficiencies in the medical records. Conclusions. During 2015-2019, the Transcarpathian Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination conducted 74 examinations on the entry of improper performance of medical professionals. In 2015-2019, most often commission examinations were appointed with the introduction of medical care by obstetricians and gynecologists, and to a lesser extent by pediatricians. The examination of providing medical care to general practitioners – family doctors, infectious disease specialists, phthisiologists, urologists, ophthalmologists – is rare. Defects in the provision of medical care were identified in 39 cases, with the most common types of diagnostic errors, even less often – medical; organizational errors and deficiencies in the medical records are rare.
